If you wanna win in the stock market (and rise above the 90% of day traders who lose money) … you must invest in the best tech for your particular trading style.
You could be the most talented trader in the world … But if your tech sucks, you’ll get beat every time.
Take StocksToTrade for example. When I first started trading, I used a ton of different websites to find the information I needed to gain an edge.
It was exhausting. It wasn’t until Tim Sykes helped design StocksToTrade — and especially after the platform added the Breaking News Chat feature — that those tools were finally in one place.
The Next 46 Days Can Put Your Account on the Fast Track
With many stocks crashing left and right, many people are having a difficult time growing their trading accounts right now.
But this coming Thursday July 28th at 8 p.m. ET…
Tim Sykes will reveal a strategy that’s so powerful he believes traders have the potential to grow a $1,000 account into a $10,000 account in just the next 46 days!
StocksToTrade is great because it has up-to-date market info, clean charts, built-in scans, and more. The layout is perfect for the research I need to do on stocks.
But that’s just one example. There are a few specific tech requirements for options traders that I wanna make sure you’re aware of.
Keep reading and I’ll tell you all about them…
The Power of Trading from Your Laptop
On the hardware side, you really only need one item to start trading — a laptop.
Some day traders think it’s vital to have a multi-monitor setup, a super-fast gaming PC, fancy LED lights, a sit/stand desk, etc…
But I’m here to let you in on a little secret … all of those items are unnecessary extras.
You don’t need any of them to be a wildly successful day trader. All you need is a laptop.
Once Tim Sykes showed me the power and freedom that laptop trading provides, I never looked back…
I’ve made trades laying on sandy beaches, sailing across crystal-clear oceans, and even sitting on balconies overlooking gorgeous vistas…
Think about it. How many other jobs can you do from literally anywhere in the world?!
And if you’re looking to make day trading your full-time job, look no further than Tim Sykes’ 46-Day Account Accelerator. Click here to see how you could potentially turn $1,000 into $10,000 in just 46 days!
Sykes knows better than anyone that trading from a laptop gives you ultimate freedom.
If you’re truly successful at it, you can go anywhere and do anything.
Choosing Brokers for Options Traders
As an options trader, you have different requirements for your broker of choice compared to the average stock trader.
Options trading is complicated. You need a platform that clearly and effectively delivers all the information you need to assess your options setups.
After all, some broker platforms don’t offer options trading at all. So if you want to trade options, make sure you’ve done your broker research…
And if you’re thinking about trying out a new broker, ask if their platform provides the following:
- Low-commission (or commission-free) options trading
- Real-time options pricing
- Individual call and put charts
There’s a fantastic broker called TradeZero that I think Evolvers should check out. The platform has full options trading capability. Furthermore, TradeZero is specifically geared towards short sellers, so it’s perfect for my strategy.
Growing A Small Trading Account? Check this Out
When multi-millionaire trader Mark Croock first started trading, he was an overworked and underpaid accountant…
So he knows what it’s like to start small while wanting to massively grow your wealth as quickly as possible.
That’s why he just recorded a step-by-step training that reveals what he believes is the best options trading method for someone trading with a small account.
By signing up for a trading platform with all of these features, you’ll be taking the first step in setting yourself up for options trading success.
Honorable Mentions
Quite frankly, a decent laptop and a good broker will get you 90% of the way there when it comes to gathering your day trading tech essentials.
That said, I’d like to suggest a few other tech possibilities for traders on the go…
Travel Monitor
Like Sykes, I want to be able to trade from anywhere on the planet.
But for a long time, I wished I had a second monitor whenever I was trading from my laptop…
Getting a travel monitor completely solved my mobile trading problems.
Why do I love this monitor? A few things come to mind:
- Easy to set up — Make sure it’s simple to use. You should be able to just clip it on the side of your laptop and then connect it via USB-C or USB-A.
- Picture quality — My monitor is a full-HD IPS panel with outstanding image quality.
- Cross-compatibility — Get a monitor that works with Mac and Windows, as well as with smartphones and other mobile devices.
Blue Light Glasses
Every device with a screen emits blue light — phones, computers, and tablets — and it’s terrible for your eyes.
High levels of blue light exposure have been known to cause headaches, exacerbate vision problems, and interrupt natural sleep patterns.
As a day trader, it’s impossible to quantify how many hours I’ve spent staring at computer screens.
If you spend anywhere near as much time in front of monitors as I do, it’s probably not a bad idea to reduce your eyes’ exposure to blue light.
That’s why I use blue light protection glasses for long trading sessions. They’re even more important for people who already wear corrective lenses due to generally bad eyesight (like me).
There are a lot of choices these days when it comes to blue light protection eyewear. What you choose comes down to personal style, but any well-reviewed pair should reduce your eye strain significantly.
Final Thoughts
That’s all there is to it, Evolvers!
You don’t have to be a technological powerhouse to become a winning day trader.
You simply need a few choice items, the right mindset, and the discipline to trade your game plan with consistency.
